Expanding the line of driving equipment: CPU-500-1.5-B

The engineering center of our enterprise completed the test cycle and launched the BUP-500-1.5-B control unit into series. The product was created as a direct import substitution for the well-known on the market controllers of the Curtis 1209M series (models 5501/6401), taking into account the specifics of Russian operating conditions.

What's inside? Power intelligent assembly

The block is based on the assembly of powerful MOSFET transistors with high-speed FRD diodes. Structurally, the device consists of six key nodes:

Power part: a filter on electrolytic capacitors and a transistor assembly that provides a current reserve.
Intelligent control: central controller and drivers that form smooth driving algorithms.
Diagnostics: circuits for continuous monitoring of current, voltage and temperature of the inverter.
Power: built-in stabilizer powered directly from the power grid, eliminating the need for additional power supplies.
 

Functionality
The new unit is designed to control DC commutator motors with series excitation. BUP-500-1.5-B is designed for heavy modes of operation, withstanding current up to 500 A for 1 minute and providing long-term operation at currents up to 200 A. The range of supply voltages covers the line of lead-acid batteries from 24 to 72 V (16 - 80 V).

Precise motion control: controlled start and stop, smooth acceleration and braking.
Maneuverability: full engine reverse function.
Flexible adjustment: adjustment of rotation speed, throttle profile, acceleration and braking for specific operator tasks.
Information value: output of operation status and error codes, calculation of engine hours (unit and drive operating time).
Digital integration: setting and fine tuning of parameters is carried out through the standard RS-232 interface.
Reliability under control

The design of the unit provides multi-level protection of the inverter itself and the connected equipment. Hardware and software algorithms monitor limit current, voltage surges, and critical overheating. If an abnormal situation occurs, the automation will limit the power or turn off the system, preventing the equipment from failing.
