Driver Line Expansion

Our company continues to actively develop a line of components for power electronics. Today we announce the start of mass production of two new products at once: a two-channel driver module MD2100P-B and a two-channel driver DR2100P-B, developed on its basis.
Both devices are used for galvanically isolated control of powerful field-controlled transistors (MOSFET or IGBT) and are capable of operating with a maximum permissible voltage of up to 1700 V. The drivers are signal shaping amplifiers, providing stable opening and closing of gates with a frequency of up to 50 kHz.
Technological sovereignty and composition
 

The key feature of new products is a completely import-substituted component base. The drivers include components exclusively of Russian and Belarusian production, which excludes dependence on foreign supplies and guarantees the stability of shipments in the current economic conditions.
Structurally, each product is a printed circuit board with an installed electrical circuit and contact connectors. The internal architecture includes five functional units:
• Built-in galvanically isolated DC/DC converter with voltage stabilization;
• input logic;
• Gate control circuit
• Input and gate undervoltage protection circuit (UVLO)
• Overcurrent protection circuit.
 

Functionality and protection
The developers have equipped the drivers with a set of intelligent protections that increase the reliability of the final equipment:
1. control and monitoring of saturation: In addition to clear signal processing, monitoring of saturation voltage on the collector is implemented. When exiting saturation mode, the transistor is smoothly turned off.
2. Operating modes: Dependent and independent modes are supported. In dependent mode (for example, for half bridge circuits), the blocking of simultaneous switching of the upper and lower arms (protection against through currents) with an adjustable switching delay is implemented in hardware.
3. emergency blocking: In case of failure, the driver blocks the control with the ability to adjust the duration of the blocking and gives an alarm about the presence of an emergency.
Difference between models
Both products have identical functional filling. Model MD2100P-B is the basic driver-module for integration, while DR2100P-B is a ready-made complete solution based on it, adapted for final use as part of converter equipment, uninterruptible power supplies and electric drives.
